The last security update released for Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger users was the 2009-005 update. Or, if you can afford to erase everything & spend $10 more than the 10.6 Disc & 10.7 from the App Store. What applications are not compatible with Mac OS X 10.7 "Lion"?
Rosetta is no longer available in Lion, which means Lion no longer supports PowerPC applications. Lion also does not support 32-bit Intel Core Duo or Core Solo based Macs. Like Snow Leopard, Lion does not support PowerPC-based Macs (e.g., Power Macs, PowerBooks, iBooks, iMacs (G3-G5), eMacs).
